My bio

I studied Physics as my first degree, following it with a Masters in natural language processing (MPhil in Computer Speech, Text and Internet Technology) at the University of Cambridge, England in 2008.

After finishing my degree, I worked for a year as a research assistant in a psychology lab in London. Then I went to Germany for 2 years and worked in a start-up developing code to extract data from news articles and scraped forum pages, including identifying sentiment

In 2018 I founded my company Fast Data Science, which offers consulting services in natural language processing and machine learning, focusing on the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. We have undertaken projects for clients like Boehringer Ingelheim and the NHS.

For a number of clients I have built machine learning models to extract important information from unstructured documents such as interview transcripts, scientific papers, clinical trial protocols, and other scientific and healthcare data.
